Have you ever wondered why eggs, milk, meat, and other necessities are always located in the back of the grocery store?

Well, technically, we have Clarence Saunders (known as the grandfather of grocery store architecture) to thank for that.

But, the real reason is because it's a tried & true marketing tactic employed to keep you in the store longer aka to see more brands, to see more products, and probably buy more things that you don't need.

(Sounds a lot like social media algorithms, amirite!? 👀)

With the cost of eggs being the talk of the internet, here’s how a grocery store and your content game share things in common.

Think about the last grocery store you were in…

1. What did you need?

2. Where did you find it?

3. Was it in a familiar place?

4. What was at the front, left, back, and right side of the store?

💡 Now, let's swap grocery store with your content. Think about your content value.

1. What does your audience need?

2. Is it on an aisle where they can easily find it? (posts, reels, stories, DMs, website, app, etc.)

3. Is it delivered in a relatable way?

4. How often is the content available?

If your local grocery store can have a strategic layout that makes you stay longer, persuades you to purchase, and come back when you run out of eggs then take a page from their notebook. Do the same for your platform.
